Special Olympics of Iowa Fundraiser

This year’s Polar Plunge will be Saturday April 9th at George Wythe Park in Cedar Falls starting at noon. That day registration/check in will be from 10:45-11:45am onsite.

Last year River Hills raised over $3000 while $10,636 overall was raised.  Angie, a classroom associate, won the award for raising the most as in individual raising $1,400.  One of our students brothers, Rigby, won the best individual costume award.  River Hills also won several raffle prizes while including 20 participants along with several people there for emotional support!

If you would like to register go to https://www.firstgiving.com/soiowa/cedarfalls-waterloo and join out team which is Big D and the Powdered Donuts 2016 (named after former student Dallas) or you can donate there too.  There is a $75 fundraising minimum and for every $75 raised, your name will be entered into a raffle for the door prize drawing. If you have questions, please contact Laura Wallin at lwallin@aea267.k12.ia.us.

The funds raised go to support Special Olympics.  Please consider joining us for a day of trying to stay warm while enjoying fun, food, music, and drawings with a post party immediately following the plunge. Hope you can come support this worthy cause!!
